A complete vintage 1920s Mahjong game set housed in its original wooden sliding-lid box, embellished with a striking gold gilt Chinese dragon and tile design. JPG + 2 Set Includes: Tiles: Bone and bamboo back construction with hand-carved, polychrome-painted details. Game Pieces: Bone counting tally sticks, bone dice, and bone holder components. Box: Dark wood sliding-lid container with compartments for tiles and counters. Ephemera: Includes Babcock's Rules for Mah-Jongg booklet ("The Red Book of Rules"), an original vintage illustrated score pad, and scoring reference sheets. Condition: Good vintage condition overall. Tiles display expected natural graining, age patina, and minor surface wear consistent with age and use. Wooden box shows light wear along edges and corners with sliding lid functioning properly.
