Description
Antique Art Nouveau dresser or desk box produced by Heintz Art Metal Shop of Buffalo, New York, a prominent maker of American Arts and Crafts decorative metalware active from 1906 to 1930. This piece features a rich polychrome green-and-gold acid-etched patina finish accented with inlaid sterling silver overlay in classic organic Art Nouveau floral and whiplash scroll motifs. Stamped AHMS Model number 4107, Sterling on Bronze, PAT. AUG. 2. 1912. Condition: Very good antique condition with a rich, undisturbed aged patina and intact sterling silver inlays. The green/gold acid-etched finish shows normal minor wear consistent with age and handling. Clean interior.
