Description
Vintage crystal polar bear figurine produced by the historic Kosta glassworks in Sweden. Designed during the late 1960s to early 1970s, this sculpture is a masterclass in mid-century Scandinavian minimalist design. The piece is crafted from heavy, high-clarity solid mouth-blown crystal. It features an exquisite, subtle smoky-gray sommerso layer running along the spine, which perfectly accentuates the bear’s sleek profile and gives the impression of light and shadow on ice. The flat polished base is hand-etched with the authentic manufacturer signature and production codes: "Kosta" followed by the specific design sequence. • Manufacturer: Kosta (Sweden) • Material: Solid Lead Crystal • Subject: Polar Bear • Country of Origin: Sweden • Estimated Era: Late 1960s / 1970s
