Each disc is cut with a ring of small facets that catch light along its edge, so the strand shows a fine, steely shimmer against its dark ground, and the rondelles sit closer and smaller as they reach the nape. At each end a small round black spacer leads into a polished white-metal rondelle cap. The strand closes with a spring ring and a flat tag stamped Pt850, the fineness mark for 85 percent platinum, with the figure 26.47 struck on the other face. The piece is minimal in line and monochrome in palette, and sits comfortably at the base of the neck.
