Description
• Material: Solid cast stone / Heavy aggregate concrete • Subject: Shaggy Dog (Old English Sheepdog / Bearded Collie) • Weight: Very Heavy / Solid construction • Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The structure is completely solid, stable, and free of major fractures, missing chunks, or structural repairs. It exhibits excellent, natural outdoor weathering and organic surface discoloration that enhances its decorative appeal. A substantial, highly decorative vintage cast stone garden statue of a shaggy-coated herding dog, sculpted in a seated position. With its heavily detailed, deeply molded texture simulating thick layers of long fur draped over its eyes and muzzle, this piece beautifully represents breeds such as the Old English Sheepdog, Bearded Collie, or Briard. Having spent decades as an estate garden feature, the statue has developed a spectacular, authentic weathered patina. Rich mineral darkening in the recessed fur lines, natural pitting, and light moss accumulations give this piece a timeless, antique character that integrates seamlessly into garden borders, patios, or front entryways.
