Description
• Artist: P. Delnay • Title/Subject: Vintage Apsco Vacu-Hold Pencil Sharpener • Medium: Original Oil on Canvas • Style: Realism / Industrial Pop Art / Mid-Century Modernism • Condition: Very good vintage condition. Paint layer is stable with no signs of cracking or flaking, although some bubbling/buckling lower right (see photos). • Framing: Professionally framed in a sleek, minimalist silver metal floater/cap frame that perfectly complements the industrial aesthetic of the artwork. Ready to hang. Original mid-century still life oil painting by artist P. Delnay. This exceptional piece captures the clean lines and utilitarian beauty of a classic Apsco Vacu-Hold manual desktop pencil sharpener. Rendered in a sophisticated, muted palette of dusty pinks, cool greys, and warm wood tones, the artist elevates an everyday piece of vintage office machinery into a monumental subject. The composition relies on strong geometric forms and clean, graphic lines, making it an ideal statement piece for modern, industrial, or mid-century eclectic interiors. The painting is clearly signed by the artist in the lower center edge of the sharpener's base.
