Description
Contemporary Korean Celadon art pottery, showcasing an incredibly complex double-walled openwork technique (ijung-tugak). This masterful jar pays homage to the legendary 12th-century ceramic traditions of the Goryeo Dynasty. The vase is meticulously constructed with two distinct layers: a solid inner chamber to hold the vessel's form, and an outer shell hand-pierced into an intricate, geometric lattice network. The upper shoulder of the vase features traditional sanggam (slip inlay) decoration depicting flying white cranes (unhakmun) navigating stylized clouds—classic Korean symbols representing nobility, peace, and longevity. The entire piece is dressed in a classic, glossy jade-green glaze complete with uniform fine craquelure throughout. • Type: Double-Walled Reticulated Pot / Vase (Danji) • Motif: Inlaid Flying Cranes and Clouds • Glaze: Crackle-Glazed Jade Celadon • Markings: Hand-signed/stamped by the ceramic artist in black hanja characters on the underside of the unglazed foot rim
