This lock has a rectangular gold-tone body with softly rounded edges. The interlaced LV monogram is stamped deep into the front face. The reverse carries the registered Louis Vuitton signature above MADE IN FRANCE. The number 308 is stamped on the base beside the keyway and again on the key bow, so the two pieces are matched. The arched U-shaped shackle opens with the key. It is a compact, finely made piece of hardware that works as a bag closure and holds its own as a collected object.
