Description
Matching pair of Antique Victorian Eastlake Parlor Side Chairs, dating from the late 19th century (circa 1880). These classic accent chairs feature the iconic, geometric design elements of the Eastlake movement, including linear incised carvings, structural crest rails with turned spindles, and elegant finials. The solid wood frames boast an attractive warm finish and retain their original front brass/metal caster wheels. They have been beautifully upholstered in a striking midnight blue damask fabric with tufted backs, gold floral motifs, and detailed brass tack trim. The frames are sturdy, and the cushions are comfortable and ready for immediate display or everyday use. Perfect as statement pieces in a living room, entryway, bedroom, or as unique dining end-chairs. Dimensions (Approximate) • Height: 36.5" to 37" (Floor to top of crest rail) • Width: 16.5" to 17" (At widest point of the backrest) • Condition: Excellent antique condition. The wood frames show minor, age-appropriate character wear but are structurally sound with no major cracks or repairs. The blue damask upholstery is exceptionally clean, tight, and free of stains, rips, or odors.
