This belt exemplifies the straightforward construction the house perfected during its American-workshop era: full-grain cowhide softened and enriched with natural treatments drawn from plant extracts, fats, and clear aniline dyes, then paired with a contrasting natural-tanned interior that deepens to sienna or tan when exposed to light. The silver-toned buckle is a less common hardware finish in the vintage Coach stable—most belts from this period carried solid brass—which dates it to a narrower production window when the company briefly issued both hardware variants to satisfy different wardrobes.
