Acquired over a lifetime of collecting, this lot features high-end Parisian functional desk ephemera rather than cheap modern reproductions. The highlight of the collection consists of monumental desk sets crafted from heavy "Fonte d'Art" (artistic white-metal/spelter casting) beautifully patinated in deep bronze, copper, and verdigris tones. These are mounted onto thick, premium blocks of genuine French marble, including highly sought-after black Nero Marquina and classic pink/grey continental veined marble. Included in This Auction: Sacré-Cœur Basilica Double Inkwell: Stunning Art Deco styling, featuring two complete built-in inkpots retaining their rare, original under-glass panoramic micro-photographs on the lids (including one of the Eiffel Tower). Notre-Dame Cathedral Double Inkwell: Exquisitely detailed dual-pot dipping station with beautifully preserved architectural spires and matching decorative photo-insert lids. Arc de Triomphe Detachable Desk Tray: An early heavy black marble base fitted with a removable cast-metal Arc de Triomphe miniature and pen rest valley. Trinket Dishes & Ashtrays: A variety of heavily embossed coin trays, desk tidies, and match-safes displaying high-relief stampings of Paris landmarks. Eiffel Tower Figurines: A scale gradient of loose individual towers ranging from early patinated spelter models to mid-century novelty celluloid/plastic variants (spanning up to 10 inches tall).
