Description
Authentic Artist's Proof (A/P) lithograph by the renowned American modernist sculptor and painter, Bill Barrell. This piece beautifully bridges Barrllt’s three-dimensional structural eye with his two-dimensional graphic work, mirroring the fluid, calligraphic gestures found in his famous bronze and aluminum public sculptures. The composition features biomorphic, abstract black forms interacting over a vibrant, textured mustard-yellow background pass. The sheet features beautiful natural deckled edges. It is hand-dated 1984 to mark its structural conception and pencil-signed Bill Barrett '11 along the bottom margin. As an Artist's Proof, this print was pulled outside the standard commercial edition run, making it highly collectible for enthusiasts of mid-century and contemporary American abstraction.
